Coochie Art Group art show

Members of The Coochie Art Group have been busy painting for their popular art show. It opens on 25 September and runs until 16 October at Redland Art Gallery, Cleveland.

This year’s theme is ‘Colour your world’ and the exhibition will feature new representational works by members in acrylic, oil, watercolour, mixed media, pastel and various drawing media.

Awards will be presented to members in each of the six categories before the opening on 25 September. All paintings will be for sale as well as the beautiful hand painted cards with a varied selection to suit all tastes. Raffle prizes include a stunning watercolour painting by Annette Raff generously framed by Carroll’s Picture Framing, handcrafted jewellery by Beatrice Lamont and Parliamentary wines provided courtesy of Peter Dowling, MP.

Admission is free and visitors will be able to vote for a people’s choice prize, to be awarded to the artist of the most popular piece of work.

This year artists from the Donald Simpson Over 50’s Centre in Cleveland will join The Coochie Art Group and the joint exhibitions will be opened by Redland Mayor Melva Hobson at 11am.

So come along and enjoy a wonderful display of paintings and support your local art groups.
