Emerald Fringe Community Forum

  • Recreation Club 41 Elizabeth Street Coochiemudlo Island, QLD, 4184 Australia (map)

Coochiemudlo Island residents are invited to attend a Community Forum to help shape the future of the heritage-listed Emerald Fringe, following funding committed in the 2025–26 State Budget.

Encircling the island’s shoreline, the Emerald Fringe is a unique coastal environment and an important part of the island’s identity. This forum is an opportunity for the community to come together and share ideas on how this important natural area can be protected and enhanced into the future.

Hosted by Member for Redlands, Rebecca Young MP, the session will include expert input from Redland City Council, with guest speaker Graham Simpson. Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute their views through live surveys and open discussion.
