Carry a Torch for Coochie
This free event is organised by the Coochiemudlo Island Heritage Society and celebrates the island's beauty and community spirit. The walk starting from Gindara is approx. 2.8 km, taking a little over an hour with stops for poetry, music and stargazing.
Flinders Day Re-enactment
On the morning of Saturday 18 July, residents of Coochiemudlo Island continue the tradition of re-enacting the historic landing of Matthew Flinders on the island.
The re-enactment provides education through entertainment — lots of fun!
