This free event is organised by the Coochiemudlo Island Heritage Society and celebrates the island's beauty and community spirit. The walk starting from Gindara is approx. 2.8 km, taking a little over an hour with stops for poetry, music and stargazing.

On the morning of Saturday 18 July, residents of Coochiemudlo Island continue the tradition of re-enacting the historic landing of Matthew Flinders on the island.

The re-enactment provides education through entertainment — lots of fun!

The more the merrier! Join us for family fun, something for everyone, on the foreshore of beautiful Coochiemudlo Island.

Hear firsthand about the journey, the challenges, and the passion behind the work she has carried out over the years to preserve and enhance this unique piece of our island’s heritage.
