Every year on the first Saturday in May thousands of people around the globe participate in World Labyrinth Day. This event is a moving meditation for world peace and a celebration of the labyrinth experience, a deep contemplative silence.
Around the world, people ‘walk as one at 1’— 1.00pm local time — to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy, from one time zone to the next.
This year, you can experience this uplifting meditation event on Coochiemudlo Island!
Attendance is free, and no previous experience is required.
There is a wet weather contingency plan for this event, so don’t let a rain shower put you off!
Where: Laurie Burns Recreation Reserve, near the Rec Club. Because of recent rain damage, the best entry is past the cricket pitch, behind the croquet club, then 50m along the right-hand path.
Date: Saturday 3 May
Time: Arrive at 12.45pm, in time for the 1.00pm meditation
BYO: Chair, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
