Heritage Walk Video

David Paxton’s Heritage Walk on the island, 28 March 2026.

A short video highlighting David Paxton's guided walks around Coochiemudlo Island, uncovering the stories, landmarks, and hidden history that have shaped this unique part of Moreton Bay. From early settlement and local characters to the island’s cultural and environmental significance, David's walks have brought the past to life in a way that’s both engaging and easy to follow. Before relocating off the island, David Paxton, historian and long-time resident of Coochiemudlo Island, hosted his last Heritage Walk for Coochiemudlo Island Heritage Society on 28 March 2026. Thank you David!

Curlew Gallery

Regular new shows and work from local artists on display.

Gallery open times: Fri, Sat, Sun from 10am – 2pm.

Where: Curlew Gallery (upstairs at the Curlew Cafe).

Pickleball

When: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Start time: 2.30pm

Location: Rec Club

BYO water, hat and sunscreen.

Newbies welcomed — $5 | Regular players — $3 per session.

Native Nursery

Location: William Street, behind the Curlew Cafe, next to the Life Savers shed.

Open times: Tuesday mornings from 9.00am — 10.30am when the friendly experts are on site to sell you tube-stock native plants suitable for the island. The Native Nursery is run by volunteers — experts in our local native flora.
