Join us on the Heritage Walk with local legend David Paxton

Organised by the Coochiemudlo Island Heritage Society

This special Heritage Walk around the eastern side of Coochiemudlo Island is extra special: it will be led by our very own local legend David Paxton who is soon be moving off from the island. David is great communicator. After many years sharing his incredible knowledge of the island’s history, this will be David’s final heritage walk so it’s a wonderful chance to walk, listen, and learn from him one more time.

The walk will cover around 2 kilometres and take approximately 2 hours, with plenty of fascinating stories along the way about the people, places, and moments that shaped Coochie.

What to bring: Wear a hat, water, comfortable walking shoes, and your curiosity

Meeting point: Rotunda at the ferry terminal entrance

Start time: 9:00am

At the end of the walk, they’ll be tea, coffee, and biscuits, and more chatting.
