Born and raised in Paris from a French Mother and Greek Father, I lived and worked in France and Greece.

My favourite place in Paris was and still is, the famous “Place duTertre”, in Montmartre where I was born. I have been inspired deep in my heart with the atmosphere of this place. At some point, I was studying the art of Ikebana, (Japanese Floral Art), in Paris in 1991.

I travelled in many countries before completely changing my lifestyle and settled in Australia on Coochiemudlo Island in 1994 ... Another great place for inspiration.

Craftwork became a new way of life when I first arrived in Australia. Then, the first serious push into fine art was by a friend who believed I could draw and it would suit my lifestyle, on the island. She was an established artist that was giving up painting, for poetry, so gave me all her brushes and oil paints ...

On a glorious day in 1997, I then started to paint ...

Since 1997, I have attended numerous classes and workshops on a regular basis, some with great, well known tutors. I was an active member of different art groups, (Coochie Art Group, Pastel Society of Australia, Coochiemudlo Artisans Collective).

I take part and sell my works in exhibitions and sometimes in galleries. Over the years, I have received various prizes and awards at some of these events.

I work in all kinds of mediums and styles, my preference being oils and pastels, and everyone would guess that I have an affinity with sea-scapes, living on an island.

Built my first site in 2000 and steadily learned what it takes to make websites work. Dabbled in WordPress back then, still do. Since building my first Squarespace site in 2016, I’ve been impressed with the relatively streamlined approach to website design and development that Squarespace offers compared to WordPress. SEO was a major challenge from the start — I’ve spent a lot of time keeping up with what’s required to get sites working, ranking well on a SERP. I have confidence with what Squarespace offers for SEO.

Having worked for more than 10 years in the web team of an inland, regional university in Australia and dealing with frustrations that come with working for a large corporate enterprise, the idea of setting up my own web design business became my goal.

Set up my business in late 2017. Opted for a sea change, too: I now live on Coochiemudlo Island 45 minutes from Brisbane. Love working from home. Love working for small business clients. Still get casual work with the university.

Challenges? The main one is pricing my work for small businesses. Doing quality work, doing the research to be up to date in the industry, takes time; it’s hard to factor in this time to my pricing while being competitive in the market and affordable for many small businesses.
