Artist’s statement
The variety of colours and textures of the wildflowers and plants in the Australian coastal bushland never ceases to inspire me. Nature provides us with such a range of ‘visual texture’. I have always loved colour, therefore drawings, paintings and prints derived from nature- especially the beach and the bush, have always been a passion. These works convey the wonder and delight in things that I continue to find everyday on my walks along the beaches, in the bush and the mangroves. Many of these works were inspired by and produced during a retreat on Coochiemudlo.
